Product overview

GeneVide ToCV Tomato Chlorosis Virus On-Site Plant Test Kit · GV-PLT-TOCV

This kit amplifies nucleic acid sequences specific to Tomato Chlorosis Virus (ToCV) and uses directional signal amplification technology to achieve high-sensitivity detection of the target nucleic acid. Applicable sample types: seeds, leaves, and fruits.

Kit and instrument are separate. This reagent kit is used with compatible GeneVide field-testing equipment. View the EmDEA V3 platform or ask the product team to confirm your setup.

Workflow and result interpretation

These instructions are specific to Tomato Chlorosis Virus (ToCV). Follow the full IFU, including controls and precautions. Reaction thresholds are not total sample-to-result times.

Test Procedure
  1. Remove and cut off the required number of enzyme-pellet tubes. Along the wall of separate tubes, add 50 μL of negative control, nucleic acid solution for testing (use the supernatant and avoid solids at the bottom), and positive control, respectively.
  2. Close the tube caps tightly. Hold both ends of each tube between the thumb and index finger, mix forcefully up and down 10 times, and then flick downward forcefully 3 times to collect the liquid at the bottom. Visually confirm that the enzyme pellet is completely dissolved, the liquid level is uniform, and no bubbles remain at the bottom; then place the tubes in the palm-sized fluorescence detector for testing.

Note: Manual mixing is a critical step and must be performed thoroughly. Before starting the test, make sure the enzyme-pellet tube caps and the lid of the palm-sized fluorescence detector are closed tightly.

Result Interpretation

At the end of the test program, the palm-sized fluorescence detector automatically analyzes and determines the result.

Can I use a different sample type?

The stated sample types are seeds, leaves, and fruits. Contact the product team before using an unlisted sample or modifying the procedure.

Does this kit include the detector?

No. The portable platform is listed separately. Consult the components table and IFU for what is supplied with the reagent kit.

Selection and purchasing questions

Should I select ToCV or TYLCV from a short symptom description?

Confirm the required target first. This product is for Tomato chlorosis virus, while TYLCV is a separate product. A short symptom description is not sufficient to establish which assay your testing plan requires.

What should I include in a ToCV Test Kit inquiry?

Include SKU GV-PLT-TOCV, your actual specimen (the IFU lists seeds, leaves, and fruits), testing volume, existing equipment and destination. Confirm the sales-pack quantity separately from the individual-box specification in the IFU.
